What can I say, my life just isn't that interesting! :) (That and I just can't remember to actually blog.)</div><br /><div> Well this certainly feels like the LONGEST winter ever. It started snowing here back in October and it's still freezing cold. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I will be for spring to come. Bring on the green! There is nothing more depressing then brown Ontario. We took a road trip to Ikea and then the Temple on Saturday and the whole drive was boring brown. (Until we hit the GTA and then it was just buildings.)</div><br /><div> Can I just tell you for a minute how much of a fan of Ikea I am. Really, I wish we had one closer. There's just something fun about all the cool stuff that they have, and I've now become a big fan of their meatballs. It's just so appealing to wander around pretending that all these great rooms could be mine...</div><br /><div> While on our wonderful trip to Ikea Holly and I decided it would be a good idea to take random pictures of us being old. We have a dear young lad in our YSA who likes to remind us that we're not as young as he is, and the jokes have now extended to things like canes and walkers. While I am fully cognizant that I am really not that old, it sure can feel like it in a YSA branch. Here's a few sample pictures...</div><br /><div><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDbmpdQ3qYF55WRYaNKo0Z-hd4q-gP1OYtY3TnjtQoOJmkkjlwrvbyck1886KTjOk_d1tQ4AtWhCZW53En4Hvw0WM0r8zD45rd9lWK5T51JJRIZauKOQOcuh_suP0Z0qNqNOaM30v8t_kK/s1600-h/Ikea+010.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5309419839128004818" style="WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 150px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDbmpdQ3qYF55WRYaNKo0Z-hd4q-gP1OYtY3TnjtQoOJmkkjlwrvbyck1886KTjOk_d1tQ4AtWhCZW53En4Hvw0WM0r8zD45rd9lWK5T51JJRIZauKOQOcuh_suP0Z0qNqNOaM30v8t_kK/s200/Ikea+010.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Here's Holly and her wonderful Wicker Rocking Chair...every old lady should have one.<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiszLsTUI-imJaZDsRISSPXgjkAzSQ-Nj-N85uS87R19Oy5MFOhzaK3aFAo1PndUUcWFqhSJ_Fz8dazKad_3ql9y6ZTOmiMKolyDv0itSFqBMn2rnYwRfDbDpFqJZH3lU_WsUZu0BCUZ9B2/s1600-h/Ikea+005.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5309419824719469874" style="WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 150px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiszLsTUI-imJaZDsRISSPXgjkAzSQ-Nj-N85uS87R19Oy5MFOhzaK3aFAo1PndUUcWFqhSJ_Fz8dazKad_3ql9y6ZTOmiMKolyDv0itSFqBMn2rnYwRfDbDpFqJZH3lU_WsUZu0BCUZ9B2/s200/Ikea+005.JPG" border="0" /></a></div><br /><div></div><br /><div>My walker. Uh, fall came and went and now I'm just getting ready for christmas. I'm heading home from Dec 19th-26th so I'm totally looking forward to that. It'll be good to get some nice needed vacation.<br /><br /><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div> As for what I've been upto, I've participated in several "service projects." I've put them in quotations as they were run through work as opposed to church so that would't be the technical name, but that's what they were just the same. </div><br /><div> In Novemeber Citi hosted Global Community Day, and I got to go out with a bunch of my co-workers and turn some old trails into some really cool new biking trails. It was a TON of fun! There's just something to be said for digging in the dirt. :)</div><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTlhFewi2F4YqArqGvItjD9ykjQX8zcJNDlgj7bUSreHHVKrGSpVwZbyfoqzAdpXkyzVGzAyFOUp9WF04_XCIt5j1SIccKvS-IRbFC4OyaPklFMG1wtGm1NQ8Dzc_IT9-vr8pRQP9WsyRu/s1600-h/Global+community+day+064.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5277105286176300210" style="WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTlhFewi2F4YqArqGvItjD9ykjQX8zcJNDlgj7bUSreHHVKrGSpVwZbyfoqzAdpXkyzVGzAyFOUp9WF04_XCIt5j1SIccKvS-IRbFC4OyaPklFMG1wtGm1NQ8Dzc_IT9-vr8pRQP9WsyRu/s320/Global+community+day+064.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXFraQWkjoqC3bBOmpMp2QjZELklXx55WPVmfNkryOZv3SZCHTcAvzReDB5Qgye9rYvKbMmpBHPuLAA3kO8MHiIl1OdTwpQwtEkyooVpM-0jRQoEi_TXhPdCbOzfH2Z24YrpSymh7F9143/s1600-h/Global+community+day+061.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5277105315115831506" style="WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXFraQWkjoqC3bBOmpMp2QjZELklXx55WPVmfNkryOZv3SZCHTcAvzReDB5Qgye9rYvKbMmpBHPuLAA3kO8MHiIl1OdTwpQwtEkyooVpM-0jRQoEi_TXhPdCbOzfH2Z24YrpSymh7F9143/s320/Global+community+day+061.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_aHI3VXRQLoUbdi9l3cNMk6Cm0Qa7YkDvvU99OeOtlWkD-8BrpZQga_1Dc-pW1SN2fx-2eptNM5aTAev2i2fN5T2SxcXMHCO8OMRaRsMtfcr1k3P3hu3Gil8QrX3T2BQftkpfXho5xCSx/s1600-h/Global+community+day+047.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5277105311897380594" style="WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_aHI3VXRQLoUbdi9l3cNMk6Cm0Qa7YkDvvU99OeOtlWkD-8BrpZQga_1Dc-pW1SN2fx-2eptNM5aTAev2i2fN5T2SxcXMHCO8OMRaRsMtfcr1k3P3hu3Gil8QrX3T2BQftkpfXho5xCSx/s320/Global+community+day+047.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhI18M1eVVhCnj6CRZMI812cNa-Xpmfv86opJ7Klyd9GwHEfSQfDwpUNJmD9__QY3UVAPp3vwW2Rr1z097wtLu1l_t_GwCIGFsiTlEhmcueeyoplEwc_qKUZ36SB2oUdHXprYTERlW1PuiG/s1600-h/Global+community+day+032.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5277105300577469346" style="WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhI18M1eVVhCnj6CRZMI812cNa-Xpmfv86opJ7Klyd9GwHEfSQfDwpUNJmD9__QY3UVAPp3vwW2Rr1z097wtLu1l_t_GwCIGFsiTlEhmcueeyoplEwc_qKUZ36SB2oUdHXprYTERlW1PuiG/s320/Global+community+day+032.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div> This past week I had the opportunity to go make Christmas Hampers with the Salvation Army for kids. It was so much fun until you started to think about why you were doing it, and then it was just sad. Let me just say that going forward I will be buying a toy with every pay check to donate to the Salvation Army at the end of the year. What they do is truely amazing, they manage to create Christmas for those who wouldn't have had one otherwise. Honestly working there on thursday really rung home the true meaning of Christmas. Sadley there's no pictures (We were too busy working to take any) however if any of you ever get offered the opportunity to go help you should totally do it!</div><br /><br /><div> What else to say...uh my brother got married in September...those were some good times. Here's how to play, you take the following catagories and do a Google Image Search. You pick a picture out of the first page of results that you like the best to represent the Catagory. Seriously...it's fun. And you won't believe what comes up sometimes :) So here's my pictures. See if you can guess what some of them are...</span></div><div align="center"><br /></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:180%;color:#000099;">My First Name</span></div><div align="center"><br /></div><div align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5232546298683937954" style="DISPLAY: block; She's pretty dang cute if I do say so myself, however I may be a bit biased :) After some serious finageling I was finally able to get a hold of Catherine and we agreed to meet up in Victoria park for a bit and I could come meet Hannah and Catherine (and her brother Chris, his wife Ann Marie and thier daughter Hailey). It was all some good times until the thunder storm hit. Thankfully Chris had some Umbrellas in his car and we took shelter until the worst of it passed. Hannah and Hailey were adorable and fun to watch, and it was good to actually sit down and talk with my soon to be sister in Law :)</span></span><br /><br /><br /><br /><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227444617485573874" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4JTA8BngN3VZBA6cduhmDL7uG6OLHKF2SNSH3tLRyL1s9h_rbV8e1g8RIGS4YMOBst4DqeLL5ezc6TgPZaw_plIkwpgdQIGuohCSVBGenZbO9Nlm_3iwc2ZvRta_XO4jn1mf_Adj21lxW/s320/Hannah+003.JPG" border="0" /></p><p><span style="font-family:verdana;color:#333333;">Here's miss Hannah sitting under the Umbrella. She looks a lot like my dad in this picture. Catherine and I were joking that it's due to the lack of hair... Oh well...mom said none of us ever had any hair either until we were over a year.<br /></span></p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5227444619068040546" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaaQlBZBP4wiNCRkQWDXZcWVmOl0ZKfZKHlL4LjoZ-jXnjxzDleop3gfRc0QT5xk_nykZOFCrrOUejezQTTCd20LOwxnx92E4dnD1K6jDPkTCP2xj2cHaIZ45JyqJnP-ATm_S87cJPsBjC/s320/Hannah+011.JPG" border="0" /><br /><p><span style="font-family:verdana;color:#333333;">This one might just be my favorite! She laughs everytime!</span>Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-53233363711923615332008-07-22T16:10:00.000-07:002008-07-22T16:24:13.520-07:00Wall of Shame...<span style="color:#003300;">Well I have to admit I really don't have anything fun and exciting to post for this week. It's been pretty uneventful I do have to say. No Roadtrips, or really any trips at all. Get up, go to work and go home. That's been my week.</span><br /><span style="color:#003300;"><br /></span><br /><span style="color:#003300;"></span><br /><span style="color:#003300;"><br /></span><br /><span style="color:#003300;">I did however get an exciting piece of mail Today. My friend Jamie (yes I'm sure some of you know her) is getting married and she thoughtfully sent me a wedding invitation. I LOVE getting wedding invitations. It may seem weird as I really am not a fan of wedding receptions (all I have to say is anyone who's still single can probably relate) however I just LOVE wedding invitations. I don't know what it is about them. I love looking at all the different styles and types even if I can't go. That being said, my roomate and I have a board that we've affectionally named the wall of shame. (We're just Jealous.) After I put up Jamies wedding invitation I took a picture so that you could all see.</span><br /><br /><br /><br /><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5225981736609985890" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpeMCy2B9ZQlpKw9V2VWkWp7CAGGOCcbdJV-WWgMdOQQMebLjok2YB-TbFEvNWv_9uglDRJQ0Beu3zU7xmlaVYXFN5o8MWdYWFB3efvNac0MVFWo17u2OZRpUs-6lWuJ29HZKFDZA07lqU/s400/Wall+of+Shame+001.JPG" border="0" /></p><p><span style="color:#003300;">This particular board is about two seasons old...meaning invites from 2007 and 2008. The invites are 3 deep :) Everytime one of us gets a new wedding invitation we excitedly pin it to the board. And we ALWAYS notice when a new one goes up :) So yep, that's it. My news for the week. So if you're reading this and getting married, I would love an invite. Even if you don't really want me there :)</span><br /></p>Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-20478197126956415412008-07-14T08:18:00.000-07:002008-07-14T08:51:23.203-07:00Palmyra Fun<span style="color:#003300;"> Well this weekend was our annual trip down to Palmyra New York. There's just something exciting about going to another country, even if it's just an hour and a half away and everything pretty much remains the same. We decided that it would be cool to rent a car, that way we would be able to dictate where we go and when and we could have the added benefit of a really cool car :)</span><br /><div><br /></div><br /><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222890330178400306" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwNs5nIPg_obt4RPwbQty-57cH0PtxTTYF3gdr4tnb7kYdnrga26xI909eRcljGynH0aGeP5QuXUKPaSJmfcpzFXrMrF2ggPhSFevTwja212z0n_33PfIZ8flEI9BDq2pW41bLJuhH5_tY/s320/Palmyra+2008+013.JPG" border="0" /></p><br /><div><span style="color:#003300;">So we left Friday at Noonish and headed on down to the border...where thankfully we had no issues. I had nightmares of the last trip when I rented a car and took it over the border, but thankfully when you say you're heading to a church pageant they don't ask too many questions. We made a stop at Target (Which I absolutely love and wish would come to Canada) and then headed on down to Palmyra.</span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#003300;"><br /></span></div><br /><p><span style="color:#003300;">The Pageant was just as cool as it always is, and then we had to go meet the rest of our group so that we could head over to the YSA dance at the Palmyra stake center. So we`re just standing there waiting and these two guys come over and ask if we`re YSA, to make a long story short they end up being from California, working in Long Island and my dear room mate offers them a ride to the dance. Yep, that's right we literally picked up some random California guys. Thankfully they were pretty cool. I wish I had of taken a picture, but well...they were random guys :)</span></p><br /><div><span style="color:#003300;"><br /></span></div><br /><p><span style="color:#003300;">The Dance was pretty good...lots of people there (many of them HCP cast members that had snuck out) and then we had to head out to the camp we were staying at. Just for all of you out there who may have to plan some YSA activity in the future...do not pick a camp site an hour away from where your dance ends. Especially if no ones ever been there and it`s 2 in the morning, and if there`s anyone that has to get up at 6:30 to go to the temple the next morning...we got lost, and I went to bed at 4:30. Good times. </span></p><br /><div><span style="color:#003300;"><br /></span></div><br /><p><span style="color:#003300;">The next morning I was lucky enough to be able to do a session at the Palmyra Temple. It was BEAUTIFUL! There`s something really special about going to the temple in the place where it all began. (Just as a side note, if you ever go...try and get more then 2 hours of sleep the night before.) I absolutely love the temple, and I`m extremely grateful for the chance I had to go. There`s even a clear window that looks out over the Sacred Grove!</span></p><span style="color:#003300;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222893464539676594" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioRSAEZErPONY0M0aKw6N4MiXtNnP0zyN-oJugabqmrcOl3kHZfxOboKmhU1960QPWMznoC8YN40JBtpl1G6qnJKp_4CdSXfcvMLxdaa1UNHhgykhJoHpfxtKI9rDn_jYmwjmgBCE59_on/s320/Palmyra+2008+059.JPG" border="0" /></span><br /><br /><p><span style="color:#003300;"> After the Temple we hit up the Sacred Grove. I have to admit it`s pretty much my favorite place to go in Palmyra. (Well, after the temple). It`s good to go see the frame house, and the log house, and the printing press, but nothing beats the grove. I absolutely love the feeling of peace you get sitting in there. I didn`t want to leave. I could have cheerfully stayed there all day!</span></p><br /><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBNFWD-HIDQzbUWwtr_RYFMTzqrAw_E2tex-EAMnzE6wHZvSJ9sHbw8VXl-meGzm8VXBucRW3P39L_PV7eoFH3hfaUsXjVuM7cY5Z6JMdaAystgcqc6Ejs0IO37CLeVuvLBbo5IZt6D7eh/s1600-h/Palmyra+2008+064.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222895147492820962" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBNFWD-HIDQzbUWwtr_RYFMTzqrAw_E2tex-EAMnzE6wHZvSJ9sHbw8VXl-meGzm8VXBucRW3P39L_PV7eoFH3hfaUsXjVuM7cY5Z6JMdaAystgcqc6Ejs0IO37CLeVuvLBbo5IZt6D7eh/s320/Palmyra+2008+064.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjspQpLCAEV-2bOF-SEtdh-cWkBouWc5r3tipkvlXzr7nwPoJjlHRLGi99iOMH1jnaBHHfLjhogrH3lFbZfSqCvJADThsQVFS75IglYZrEl0YLlGXkcwXXqIeS8E8pP10pa1iGNctMgk2T2/s1600-h/Palmyra+2008+066.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222895157680457090" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjspQpLCAEV-2bOF-SEtdh-cWkBouWc5r3tipkvlXzr7nwPoJjlHRLGi99iOMH1jnaBHHfLjhogrH3lFbZfSqCvJADThsQVFS75IglYZrEl0YLlGXkcwXXqIeS8E8pP10pa1iGNctMgk2T2/s320/Palmyra+2008+066.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /></p><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1eSUo041jiZ9plaUmc_63GyG7jv3maT1FQIoX0Cq-dhBchZot-PYSUEOELLPlOH8yEja5-JoerC7I7IhA2z6Y2osOPYUfHFwv5Iw7Tu8j8Fl2wdSlxU4pLXEntGX-iuVgxP4C_009N9q4/s1600-h/Palmyra+2008+084.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222895180901383154" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1eSUo041jiZ9plaUmc_63GyG7jv3maT1FQIoX0Cq-dhBchZot-PYSUEOELLPlOH8yEja5-JoerC7I7IhA2z6Y2osOPYUfHFwv5Iw7Tu8j8Fl2wdSlxU4pLXEntGX-iuVgxP4C_009N9q4/s320/Palmyra+2008+084.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXQOMdEu0rVaTJQ-S6vQWwdv6wixUx6kEytNICzjHt_BgQzRH69Sl2G_N2c3lY_mZTimBxD2lgaez7WvAnEv6kHp6TMWJP4ww0bH5XWeZWZDJf59zUt1ENRAOR3eUihFmqqSSAzZZKBY5G/s1600-h/Palmyra+2008+083.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222895165900780946" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXQOMdEu0rVaTJQ-S6vQWwdv6wixUx6kEytNICzjHt_BgQzRH69Sl2G_N2c3lY_mZTimBxD2lgaez7WvAnEv6kHp6TMWJP4ww0bH5XWeZWZDJf59zUt1ENRAOR3eUihFmqqSSAzZZKBY5G/s320/Palmyra+2008+083.JPG" border="0" /></a></div><div> </div><div><span style="font-family:verdana;color:#003300;"> After the Sacred Grove we headed over to Everyone`s favorite eatery the Chill `N Grill. If you`ve never been there you seriously need to go. Really good food at a really good price. It`s most definitely worth the trip. After we ate we visited the bookshop and then it was time to head on home. For pretty much the LONGEST trip ever. It was 6 hours and it felt like 12. I have no idea why it passed so slowly but there you have it.</span></div><div><span style="font-family:verdana;color:#003300;"></span> </div><div><span style="font-family:verdana;color:#003300;"> </span></div><div><span style="font-family:verdana;color:#003300;"></span> </div><div><span style="font-family:verdana;color:#003300;"> I just want to end this post by saying that I`m so thankful for the opportunity I had to go to Palmyra. It`s such a testimony boost! I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and I know that the Sacred Grove is where Joseph saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is true and I`m so thankful to have the Gospel in my life. Miracles can and do exist and I`m grateful to experience them.</span></div>Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-397508849498354672008-07-06T18:25:00.000-07:002008-07-06T19:01:19.925-07:00Sunfest=Sunburn<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9xuYaR-7HZcMm_zvKKdxkgEgrf_tUrTIfD03xzCKwaP_hftWxa6wBD-MzCQI1BU5fobaSTORhostX2yvo4coRKz3m1MVd61oTrktuKVeRN5ZyW8FzNuqdeQi1Z7AZKy1PxpFMWkWGlPnc/s1600-h/Sunfest+2008+004.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5220079844054563538" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9xuYaR-7HZcMm_zvKKdxkgEgrf_tUrTIfD03xzCKwaP_hftWxa6wBD-MzCQI1BU5fobaSTORhostX2yvo4coRKz3m1MVd61oTrktuKVeRN5ZyW8FzNuqdeQi1Z7AZKy1PxpFMWkWGlPnc/s200/Sunfest+2008+004.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGAIFJFqI2fIsi1tVgnyPMKVlrD245bggmcxHLxUGGn_l4ybpp_tlbXjCC5Y86qr6vXxwPpL2tw0Yz5fTJz07ZVH4srveXwPQ7b09PiD7e-ZwzRdKhx97QzFof1xUXly_gwahwF3hVPdJ9/s1600-h/Sunfest+2008+010.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5220079854678000706" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGAIFJFqI2fIsi1tVgnyPMKVlrD245bggmcxHLxUGGn_l4ybpp_tlbXjCC5Y86qr6vXxwPpL2tw0Yz5fTJz07ZVH4srveXwPQ7b09PiD7e-ZwzRdKhx97QzFof1xUXly_gwahwF3hVPdJ9/s200/Sunfest+2008+010.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0npnZjRnDEgFFwV4o7woS6G0FBQaEqM4sBd3ON8FXvoanQXpT5SxuwuEjpOIUw94U8vUI52Up0yWCfwouwubux2FIxHTqanyT0CneKWnwZfkCmU2niXWufttYe0LZJPGRQqWVFcECO_lk/s1600-h/Sunfest+2008+018.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5220079835716089106" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0npnZjRnDEgFFwV4o7woS6G0FBQaEqM4sBd3ON8FXvoanQXpT5SxuwuEjpOIUw94U8vUI52Up0yWCfwouwubux2FIxHTqanyT0CneKWnwZfkCmU2niXWufttYe0LZJPGRQqWVFcECO_lk/s200/Sunfest+2008+018.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><div><div><span style="color:#000066;"> So this weekend was Sunfest, which is pretty much the best festival of the Summer here in London. It's kinda like the buskers in Halifax...only without the Buskers. Ok, so that's actually a bad comparison, however it's pretty much the only thing I can think of to compare it to. There's Amazing food from all different cuisines (You can get everything from Poutine to Goat), as many vendors as you could possibly cram into one park, and my favorite...free mini-concerts from musicians from all over. Seriously, the have something for everyone! My favorite group by far, from this years Sunfest has to be Le Vent Du Nord. LOVED THEM! It was a french group with a Celtic type sound. Very East Cost :) You should all go listen to them on youtube or Itunes. Thats them at the top in the pictures.</span></div><br /><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#000066;"></span></div><br /><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#000066;">So as every fair skinned person will realize Sunfest also invariably turns to Sunburn. It never matters that I have sunscreen on. I Burn. This year my burn even went so far as to cause my face to swell. Very attractive I must tell you. I didn't go to church today it's that pretty! And even better, I burned just in time to be peeling for next weekend's trip to Palmyra. How amazing is that!</span></div><br /><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#000066;">You can kinda see the burn in this picture...however this was still durin<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd6QtSzghJ56znOztzOdOYgyBB4wO85qRsePc9dkQ6-3-jUbZC-q0M7J1vlfSKJP8CSBrwzkoL3GoV0vWH7oA3oUnUoZhanih3qKvcj_wzD8MS22ef1My2SZsyb3ZapAdZriYbWHwoAroI/s1600-h/Sunfest+2008+008.JPG"><span style="color:#000066;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5220081231984839554" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd6QtSzghJ56znOztzOdOYgyBB4wO85qRsePc9dkQ6-3-jUbZC-q0M7J1vlfSKJP8CSBrwzkoL3GoV0vWH7oA3oUnUoZhanih3qKvcj_wzD8MS22ef1My2SZsyb3ZapAdZriYbWHwoAroI/s200/Sunfest+2008+008.JPG" border="0" /></span></a>g the day...you know the stage before you start glowing. Which is really not surprising seeing as how it was always the same for me with Journal writting. I'm pretty much lucky If I remember to update once a month!!!<br /><br /> Yeah, so I totally went Canoeing yesterday, which I have to admit was pretty fun. It felt super good to be on the water (I Don't get the chance for that very often here) even if the water was absolutely disgusting, which is evidenced by the above photographs...<br /><br /> On a side note I'm super excited as my niece is coming to London! Yep, thats right, She's coming here...which means I don't have to go home this summer, which will save me a TON on money! <br /><br /> Also, I'm still car shopping...which is ridiculous as it's been like 2 months. I just can't get my act in gear! Oh well what can you do right?Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-82752513701279099302008-05-19T12:07:00.000-07:002008-05-19T12:16:22.599-07:00The Office=Amazing...So here's what I did this weekend...I had an office Marathon with Holly. Yep thats right, I watched a whole crap load of the office. And it was amazing. However the only down side to having an Office marathon is you then can't get the quotes out of your head. I've pretty much been walking aroung all weekend thinking to myself <br /> "'Don't be an Idiot' is the greatest advice I've ever received. I think to myself, would an idiot do that? And if the answer is yes, I don't do it."<br /> Well that and about a dozen other amazing quotes. If you've never watched the Office I would highly recommend doing so. You'd be in for some great laughs.<br /><br /><br /> Also I've started reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer. I don't know if any of you have started that one yet, but please let me know what you think about it. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I'm only half done though! I'm thinking I don't like it as much as the Twilight series.<br /><br /> Thats pretty much all I have this weekend...well that and I saw Prince Caspian the new Narnia movie, which was GREAT! I'm still doing the car shopping...which I hate. I can't make up my mind, and when I think I've decided I change it again. Anyway I hope all is well with anyone reading this :) Have a great long weekend!Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-19560482084129260822008-05-11T11:22:00.000-07:002008-05-11T12:08:49.059-07:00Fun with Jumbo...and other stuff<div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><br /></div><br /><div><br /><div>All right,</div><br /><br /><br /><div>So clearly I'm not so good at this whole Blogging thing. The sad part is, I don't know that I really have anything to post. All I know, is that I'm SUPER bored right now, so I figured this would be a fun activity to keep me busy.<br /><br /> So I went home and it was great to see all of you I got to see! Kailey is SUPER cute, and I'm sad I can't see her on a regular basis. Hopefully you <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Podezwa's</span> (sorry, I'm positive I spelled that wrong) will make a trip out here to London soon and we can all hang out here.<br /><br /> I guess I just want to share a bit of my testimony...seems a little weird to be posting it on a blog, but whatever, I'm doing it anyway. I'm <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">SOOOOOOO</span> grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who gives us what we need in the timing that's best for us. The final decision to go home to go through the temple was pretty quick, and Heavenly Father paved that path so <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">incredibly</span> well there were no bumps anywhere along that way. He provided the funding, the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">convenience</span> of the flight and all things that just made it such a positive and uplifting <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">experience</span> and I can't even begin to express how grateful I <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">truly</span> am. I'm so blessed to have the gospel in my life and I look forward to many years of amazing Temple <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">experiences</span>.<br /><br /> <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">Ok</span>, also I'm like 90% sure I'm going to be buying a car, and I would love to hear your feedback in this particular area. What do you all recommend? I know absolutely nothing about cars, so anything you can tell me would be great!Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-54315031795817180672008-03-09T16:56:00.000-07:002008-03-09T17:04:00.643-07:00Going Home for Easter<span style="color:#003300;">Well,</span><br /><span style="color:#003300;"> It certainly has been a long time since I've updated my blog...or at least it feels like it. I'm happy to say the the pneumonia has gone away with the help of the amazing drugs that were so nicely provided to me. There's nothing like being able to breath without coughing!</span><br /><span style="color:#003300;"></span><br /><span style="color:#003300;"> I'm excited to report that I'm going home easter weekend to take out my endowments! Woo Hoo! I'm pretty excited, I'm not going to lie! I'm going through on Thursday the 20th, so if you're reading this and you can come, I'd love to see you there! I'm starting to feel like a grown up now :)</span><br /><span style="color:#003300;"></span><br /><span style="color:#003300;"> Well that's it for now! I just wanted to keep you all updated. Hopefully I'll get some fun pictures while I'm home!</span>Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-10182338371019377472008-02-22T14:07:00.000-08:002008-02-22T14:31:12.077-08:00Still at home...Well...I'm still at home and not at work. To my credit I did try and go in yesterday, which totally ended up being a half day cause I'm just to tired to do work. Seriously I would get up to go to the fax machine and be totally winded by the time I got there. Which is Ridiculous. I mean come on now, there's just no need for that. Anyway my manager was nice enough to tell me to go home and get rested...so here I am...still at home. I have officially worked 4 hours all week. Slowly am I going crazy.... <div><div><br /><br /><br /><div></div><div>That being said I have LOADS of time to do nothing but search the web. I found this HALARIOUS site called <a href="http://www.morphthing.com/">http://www.morphthing.com/</a> man, there's some good times. It lets you upload pictures and then it morphs the faces together (think Kate Hudson's scrapbook in how to loose a guy in 10 days). I've decided it's only really creepy if you morph your face with someone you actually know (think Kate Hudson in how to loose a guy in 10 days.). That being said it's totally acceptable to morph you face with Celebrities you don't know... (I do fully realize I'm probably creepy and insane, but come on people, I've been home now for 7 days!!!) Anyway here's a few examples for you to see just how crazy this site really is...</div><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTIZfm_KcxSqOua1b62cy5rWX1rplqjeg_6l1LrTr0ejl03nHvvOfRDqBFQUN7jbLbk-sUzpFayKGGG_seWEtXAJKlT6u5f9auw4LPzuQ5ayPJNrqUBduaFZe9O-kSheG4Rw8n-BmMYlX7/s1600-h/Morph1.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5169931594747391890" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTIZfm_KcxSqOua1b62cy5rWX1rplqjeg_6l1LrTr0ejl03nHvvOfRDqBFQUN7jbLbk-sUzpFayKGGG_seWEtXAJKlT6u5f9auw4LPzuQ5ayPJNrqUBduaFZe9O-kSheG4Rw8n-BmMYlX7/s200/Morph1.jpg" border="0" /></a> </div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>This would be me and John Krasinski (Jim Halpert from the Office).</div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfA7drmnBEnAf0Y0-qNh2ZVfN8TJS8EHMiSEAzxGO9_XjNJmF48feq1QR883xyhVEx0bqLCcM6PTamZ8nM_5RHYkNKry5RLNAMZnLUsu_yagi3KaXGG8txJbtePrILYeBmjQpjEfWA2v_k/s1600-h/morph2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5169934549684891554" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfA7drmnBEnAf0Y0-qNh2ZVfN8TJS8EHMiSEAzxGO9_XjNJmF48feq1QR883xyhVEx0bqLCcM6PTamZ8nM_5RHYkNKry5RLNAMZnLUsu_yagi3KaXGG8txJbtePrILYeBmjQpjEfWA2v_k/s200/morph2.jpg" border="0" /></a></div><br /><div></div><br /><div>This would be a cross of myself and Michael Weatherly (think Tony on NCIS)</div><br /><div></div><br /><div></div><br /><div></div><br /><div></div><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSa5M4rxW6sLzunRGL9gsZrkjtSx87WqcXdeHgAV0pwj5q8NVTwiAUTcgcOGWkkkKi9hCqI0vxEAwXqMjrHTQgT0BD5jeNG-au4yxGm-Q1tfo6y1-3dIS2IzcY2iNC6tHji2KizqKzCVgT/s1600-h/morph3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5169934936231948210" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSa5M4rxW6sLzunRGL9gsZrkjtSx87WqcXdeHgAV0pwj5q8NVTwiAUTcgcOGWkkkKi9hCqI0vxEAwXqMjrHTQgT0BD5jeNG-au4yxGm-Q1tfo6y1-3dIS2IzcY2iNC6tHji2KizqKzCVgT/s200/morph3.jpg" border="0" /></a></div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>This would be myself and Patrick Dempsey (Dr McDreamy on Grey's)</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>As you can see the hours of the day just fly by so fast when you start morphing your face with Celebrities. So I haven't been to work in 5 days, which sounds like it should be fun, however I'm really wishing I was there today. We had a nice 3 day weekend (it's Family day here in Ontario...the Liberals promised if they got voted in during the last provincial election they would give us a Holiday in February...and they actually did) and I managed to get sick. At first I thought I just had a happy little cold, but I went to the Doctor today and surprise I have a sinus Infection and walking pneumonia. LOVELY! It does however explain the elephant sitting on my chest. I got fun drugs though, which make me pretty happy inside. The Congestion that was giving me man voice just didn't want to go away, so with any luck, the drugs will make me sound somewhat female again! </span><div><div><div><span style="color:#000000;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#000000;"> </span></div><div><span style="color:#000000;"> Lets see, what else can I say? Oh I went to a dance on Saturday night. While I was sick. I don't know why I do that. I don't even like dances when I'm healthy so why going to them when I don't feel well seems like a good idea I'll never know. I pretty much just hung out with the Old Ladies club in the Kitchen as it was more fun than actually dancing. (Before anyone gets upset, yes I did go in a dance for a bit...it was just more fun in the Kitchen)</span></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPdqVr0ENsNSxD2B_CW58o_qLxLgrUeW1Q5NWh56wxwkt12vlEQDrI94PD7IQFbBX9mJ2eZ0Pt_TQhapwQFup_9ebPcjOKheWYQZYcJT_WVAklszAhgExULEyVeKG4NPAG8hvyUjEwwGPN/s1600-h/feb+16+002.JPG"><span style="color:#000000;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5169148171237764962" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPdqVr0ENsNSxD2B_CW58o_qLxLgrUeW1Q5NWh56wxwkt12vlEQDrI94PD7IQFbBX9mJ2eZ0Pt_TQhapwQFup_9ebPcjOKheWYQZYcJT_WVAklszAhgExULEyVeKG4NPAG8hvyUjEwwGPN/s320/feb+16+002.JPG" border="0" /></span></a><span style="color:#000000;"><br /><br /><br /></span><div></div><br /><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#000000;">Here's a really bad picture of me and a pretty good picture of Holly. All of us singles (namely Me) like to live vicariously through looking at YOUR pictures! So don't let me down...I need them! :) Before I get to the pictures of my niece however I'll share a few points from my week...</span></div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#003300;"></span></div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#003300;">Last weekend we had O'l ladies night at Amee's...good times. We broke out the dating for Dummies book...and learned how to flirt. Haha, man there's some serious inside jokes there, however you would really need to see me for me to explain them, so let me just say that the book is seriously troubled when giving flirting instructions...if anyone were to actually practice them they would look like an ape. No joke...next time I'll take pictures. We even practiced on a few poor males on Sunday at break the fast...good thing they were good sports. Although we did have a volunteer for our Coach...it has possibilities.</span></div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#003300;"></span></div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#003300;">Sunday night I enjoyed games night out at John Wright's. I don't know if you've ever played 4 on a couch, however if you haven't I would seriously recommend it. You could probably find the instructions online somewhere. It's a nice fun confusing game for all involved...sadley the girls lost 3 out of 4 games. Also enjoyable, snowball ambushes on people just showing up. Probably not really a Sunday activity, but it sure was fun. The element of Surprise is always a good time.</span></div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#003300;"></span></div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#003300;">Now to the pictures...some of these are on facebook, but I love them so I'm posting them anyway...you'll all just have to deal :)</span></div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#003300;"></span></div><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjqcI7yPK_6lgFN86Sd7LEPsmRhGe4mj6QDPVNnpn_M4AIIsFezMmhQKNHU4fv_1yGgJEUBxBfdvhoXDQlsm1jTzsvAW3uoBgLz_bH1Q53i0SYxe0YKTMdMKVUTvwkNlNjG4RUMkaQZQ-Z/s1600-h/Kris+asleep+with+Hannah.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5164051398011813906" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjqcI7yPK_6lgFN86Sd7LEPsmRhGe4mj6QDPVNnpn_M4AIIsFezMmhQKNHU4fv_1yGgJEUBxBfdvhoXDQlsm1jTzsvAW3uoBgLz_bH1Q53i0SYxe0YKTMdMKVUTvwkNlNjG4RUMkaQZQ-Z/s320/Kris+asleep+with+Hannah.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /></div><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#003300;">So here's the proud Papa (My brother Kris) and his little girl. I've gotten good news and Bad news and life as I once knew it has ended! (Ok so maybe I'm being a little overdramatic but somedays it certainly feels like it!!!)</span><br /><span style="color:#003333;"></span><br /><span style="color:#003333;">Good news first....I'm an Aunt!!! Woo Hoo! Kris and Catherine welcomed Hannah Julia Chatham into the world on Thursday Jan 24th! She weighed in at 6lbs 12oz and I would totally post a picture but they haven't sent me any. There's no cameras in Yellowknife or something??? Come on now, I want a picture of my Niece! Anyway I guess they're all doing well cause I haven't heard anything else from them...I've even left 2 messages and I assume if something went wrong Mom would have heard about it. I promise I'll post a picture as soon as I get one!</span><br /><span style="color:#003333;"></span><br /><span style="color:#003333;">Bad new...Michelle has been diagnosed with Crohn's disease. Not cool in any way shape or form and I have no idea if she'll kill me for having posted that. She's handeling it WAY better then I did...I had to get a blessing before I felt any type of Comfort (please no one mention that to her, cause she doesn't need to worry about me) however now I'm doing ok even though it still SUCKS! I REALLY wish there was something I could do...like give her a Kidney or something, but there isn't so we all just have to deal with it...and I should probably go get tested myself...but I'm holding out on that option for now.</span><br /><span style="color:#003333;"></span><br /><span style="color:#003333;"> So there's my crazy week in a nutshell. If you notice to the right of my Blog I have a fun little poll going to see where I should go for Vacation so if you haven't already done so, please take the time to click a box. I'm interested to see what will win!</span>Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-53122992314144581662008-01-12T13:33:00.001-08:002008-01-12T14:00:24.626-08:00Holidays are Fini!<span style="color:#000099;">Well, Christmas has come and gone and it's all back to real life. Which is kinda sad really, I was having a grand time in the Scosh not working, just doing nothing all day well, except for the part where I did the running around, and the grocery shopping...and everything else that no one else had time for. It was fun to see everyone I got to see and I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance to really hang out with everyone. When you haven't seen your family in 8 months, you just really want to spend a good chunk of time with them. I do have some cool pictures though.</span> <div><div><div><span style="color:#000099;"><br /><br /><br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"><br /><br /><br /><br /></span></div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdLMCLBsgOyPuF7gRkzohrJgKefvZXDGtrXNz4t6yX5GdsiPLiL99VerpiruhwoMMDctcl3KeuDLrBzOMqnDe04xV9g4nE7J9pX601i6O1CPOqzKyiX565rHN0M968RNa0lol-U9G0kMer/s1600-h/Christmas+Vacation+004.JPG"><span style="color:#000099;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5154707748734671362" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdLMCLBsgOyPuF7gRkzohrJgKefvZXDGtrXNz4t6yX5GdsiPLiL99VerpiruhwoMMDctcl3KeuDLrBzOMqnDe04xV9g4nE7J9pX601i6O1CPOqzKyiX565rHN0M968RNa0lol-U9G0kMer/s320/Christmas+Vacation+004.JPG" border="0" /></span></a></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"><br /><br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><br /><br /><span style="color:#000099;">So here's Teeny, Davis and Sammy. I think Davis had on more makeup then Kristine...it's all right though! He can pull it off. </span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"><br /><br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"><br /><br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyJAzhxwICqyZXKTFToYMJVtTlAvhUzw4ThxoaozXJh6JgjqkE08vrgGLJivfOyNpTSjnTV8O-4JW3dpgBq0CFIlMpmu7ZLix2B-D-iQDqcpjCBaOQq6ilxY-7eT1oTD2B34BprkJrCGkT/s1600-h/Christmas+Vacation+040.JPG"><span style="color:#000099;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5154708612023097874" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyJAzhxwICqyZXKTFToYMJVtTlAvhUzw4ThxoaozXJh6JgjqkE08vrgGLJivfOyNpTSjnTV8O-4JW3dpgBq0CFIlMpmu7ZLix2B-D-iQDqcpjCBaOQq6ilxY-7eT1oTD2B34BprkJrCGkT/s320/Christmas+Vacation+040.JPG" border="0" /></span></a><span style="color:#000099;"><br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;">These are my Cousins Kayla and Brad. How cute are they??? I have to admit that one of the things I miss the most are all the Kids. Being in a Singles branch and not really knowing any family's with Kids I don't really see a whole lot of them out here. There's just no one for me to play with!!!<br /><br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"><br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"><br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"><br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6KyYloFN09jlTsfGbzC2a4sqIgnUpY_338RjxS2DusblNxLqWqPqQZtnGfljsBJi7-TGXfEOTnYVTycJxpk3FOyfQEQEGZ_q7JJb9rEsZjGp1k3UoRE5NthkS5Pd4x9ta-eOOUDIO6ZuG/s1600-h/Christmas+Vacation+045.JPG"><span style="color:#000099;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5154709763074333218" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6KyYloFN09jlTsfGbzC2a4sqIgnUpY_338RjxS2DusblNxLqWqPqQZtnGfljsBJi7-TGXfEOTnYVTycJxpk3FOyfQEQEGZ_q7JJb9rEsZjGp1k3UoRE5NthkS5Pd4x9ta-eOOUDIO6ZuG/s320/Christmas+Vacation+045.JPG" border="0" /></span></a><span style="color:#000099;"><br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;">Grampy plowing the driveway. When Mom and I went up to Fredericton for the weekend they got 30cm of snow on the Saturday. So Grampy goes and and gets this super cool tractor from the garage and procedes to plow out the driveway...which is really more like a cul-de-sac in the yard...the thing is Huge! Anyway I thought it was cool enough to take a picture!<br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-G1AtiFiT23RTQaWS9cIvt3_KwHsIa7D8hEGVFMZm6inHz2j1n8w6F8x7lWLKYoYsGUqJDMH3L538n_u9ekNpS8278IGAV8FJMG9-pUQV4YFJnkBjrCqiigJEMLD7ixIeQD0ZJUG5H7Um/s1600-h/Christmas+Vacation+079.JPG"><span style="color:#000099;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5154710733736942130" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-G1AtiFiT23RTQaWS9cIvt3_KwHsIa7D8hEGVFMZm6inHz2j1n8w6F8x7lWLKYoYsGUqJDMH3L538n_u9ekNpS8278IGAV8FJMG9-pUQV4YFJnkBjrCqiigJEMLD7ixIeQD0ZJUG5H7Um/s320/Christmas+Vacation+079.JPG" border="0" /></span></a></div><div><span style="color:#000099;">All right so I Know Debbie would KILL me for posting this...(so please don't tell her Rob) but I ran into my favorite girls at the Superstore and had to get a picture. Incidently I don't really have any pictures of Morgan smiling....I really don't think she liked me all that much :) Everytime I saw her she would cry, so I guess it was me :) It's all right though...Emma still likes me :)<br /></span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;">Those are some of the fun highlights from my trip! I'll post more pictures off to the side. Plus there's always facebook.</span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#000099;"> </span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#000099;"> Anyway I'm now addicted to the show Project Runway. I don't know if you've ever seen it, but it's totally awesome. It's a bunch of fashion desingers trying to win the money for their own clothing line. Seriously, I have no idea what I ever did before TV on DVD. Actually it's sad how it's consuming my life. Well...that and reading. (I actually did read the Twilight series Kristi, I LOVED it, you should totally read "A Great and Terrible Beauty" by Libba Bray)</span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#000099;"> I hope all is well and that you had great Holiday fun!!! It's back to the real world now!!! P.S. If you had the choice to go to Salt Lake or Ireland which would you choose??? I need comments on this cause I only have enough Vacation this year to do one, and both have come up, so please, please give me your feedback!!!!</span></div><div> </div><div> </div></div></div>Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-14808416836226469882007-12-16T14:13:00.000-08:002007-12-16T14:31:28.195-08:00Skipping Church<div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#ff0000;">I was reading Rusty's blog and happened to Notice that he didn't go to church today, well I'm sad to say, neither did I. Man is that show ever addicting. All I have to say is that Meredith and McDreamy better stay together or I will be Sooooo mad. I've invested enough hours in that show that I feel I'm entitled to the ending that I want. It's like the Ross and Rachel thing. They just need to be together.</span></div><div> </div><div> <span style="color:#006600;">One week from today and I'll be back in the Scosh. (I feel bad since I'll have missed 2 weeks of church back to back. Next week it's all about the airport.) I'm pretty excited about that since I haven't seen my family in 8 months. That's a pretty insane amount of time. Plus you know, there's the whole Ocean thing, and friends...it should be a pretty good time. Plus there's all the presents that await me :) I can't discount the cool presents. I'm excited...7 sleeps to go!!!</span></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDOfaJrFPnzeY5fzWdDaSMTITPRunkumHaw0KVxKl8isvpEMoCVrTQH4MtLh9APgo_QbF3Y5ZzvlBkg4h3noyc1I-uYWJLJSi0n6Eu7cNCmLNLynVgshGoKW8qi5uRuEusxvVnaHMGs9_u/s1600-h/snow2+002.JPG"></a></div></div>Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-32827553362640877952007-12-11T18:09:00.000-08:002007-12-11T18:29:18.155-08:00Ranting<div><span style="color:#cc0000;">Ok so I'm a total copy cat and figured that I would totally go for Julia's whole rant blog...what can I say, I totally loved the idea. Even if it makes me a horrible person for ranting when I should just be patiently loving everyone all the time....</span></div><br /><div></div><br /><div><span style="color:#006600;">Rant #1: I HATE hanging out with drunk people. I went to my work Christmas party last friday and as much as I truly love my co-workers, I'm sorry guys, but I don't want to hang out with you when you're drunk. It makes me uncomfortable. I don't see how loosing all your inhibitions and doing things you would be totally embarrassed about when you're sober is fun. I just don't get it! Perhaps it's just because I'm a stick in the mud, and because I don't know what it feels like, but I don't care, drunk people are not funny to me. It just makes me sad.</span></div><br /><div></div><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">Rant #2: Julia if you think the whole plow thing is bad in Halifax you should see what it's like in London. The don't even START plowing until there's 4 inches of snow on the ground, and if you're not right down town, sidewalks don't get done at all. Seriously, Hello, Safety anyone???</span></div><br /><div></div><br /><div><span style="color:#006600;">Rant #3: I hate taking flack for not going to YSA activities. Honestly, there was a point in my life when I lived for those things, and all I ever wanted to do was hang out with the YSA, at whatever activity was coming along, but I've outgrown that and I just like hanging out in my apartment with a good book, or TV show or something. I'm all about small groups, and sometimes a large activity is fun, but organized activities with chaperone's just makes me feel like I'm 14. I'm not less active, I'm just a homebody.</span></div><br /><div></div><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">Rant #4: Piggybacking on Rant #3, I DO NOT want a YSA activity at my Parent's house on New Years Eve. That BLOWS!!! All I want is to stay home with my mom and eat Chinese food and watch sappy chick flicks. Unfortunately for me, my cousin seems to think that the YSA have to have a party on New Years and someone convinced my mom it was ok to do it there. Anyone want to spare me from that torture and invite me somewhere else???</span></div><br /><div></div><br /><div><span style="color:#006600;">Well, I'm going to stop there because Honestly I think I could go on and how sad is that??? Pretty bad eh! Oh well! Well, two more weeks until I go home, I can't wait to see the Ocean!!! I'm super excited!!!</span></div><br /><div></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiov38zU2IbWOGmstf9g44RPFqQ-Y0gVFC-2oP9InB9RB-cDSL4qMB347oQ4qhugwPOYwcb0w9uhRmmaGVRXBz6zOroDdAZVZDkhs3FLLnMgViSC9HR2KcewflBe4q2YcIRtQ4wIHgrzMu/s1600-h/work+party+005.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5142907128060716482" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiov38zU2IbWOGmstf9g44RPFqQ-Y0gVFC-2oP9InB9RB-cDSL4qMB347oQ4qhugwPOYwcb0w9uhRmmaGVRXBz6zOroDdAZVZDkhs3FLLnMgViSC9HR2KcewflBe4q2YcIRtQ4wIHgrzMu/s320/work+party+005.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">Here's a picture of Annick, Lisa and I at the Party on Friday night....I think this was actually before the drinking started :)</span></div><div> </div><div> </div>Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-33152663466027685732007-12-04T19:33:00.000-08:002007-12-04T19:49:48.845-08:00Christmas, Christmas time is here...<div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyeiN4Kycd3dy_DONX4n8FU7LGaoVJ5NbvO1gf9lDLK3eXSsVioHRTJmxdf8EMtTzdjyDvA8tEMkr7y4lzIvr3UirvrkVb7BvYjcek9hJ-_OZdNwyKewUlEAxfI1pkaYAQQg0D1RCIpqlI/s1600-h/stuff+011.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5140328000199468450" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyeiN4Kycd3dy_DONX4n8FU7LGaoVJ5NbvO1gf9lDLK3eXSsVioHRTJmxdf8EMtTzdjyDvA8tEMkr7y4lzIvr3UirvrkVb7BvYjcek9hJ-_OZdNwyKewUlEAxfI1pkaYAQQg0D1RCIpqlI/s320/stuff+011.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">I love Christmas! Whats not to love? Pretty lights, pretty paper, and beautiful trees! Ok, so I could totally do without the snow, but nothing can be perfect :)</span></div><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;"></span></div><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">So Caro and I put up our Christmas tree last weekend. We went on a field trip to Wal-Mart and picked out the 29.99 special :) It's not the most elegant tree I've ever had, but it's fun. We had an awesome time wandering around picking out decorations. Here's a picture...(please excuse the movie poster behind the tree...)</span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;"></span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">It's not the most spectacular tree in the whole wide world, but it doesn't look completely hideous. Or at least it doesn't until you turn the lights on. Let me explain, so I like white lights, but Carolyn prefers the colored one's so I said fine, we'll get the colored lights not really thinking that they could be all that bad. However at Wal-Mart when we went, all they had were these new fangled LED lights. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for saving the environment but man, these lights are HIDEOUS! They're completely floresent. They make a perfectly average tree turn into the tackiest tree in the whole wide world. So as were putting this thing up I'm almost peeing I'm laughing so hard. I took a picture but it really doesn't capture the complete Nightmare of these lights!</span><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBejyBTTDeJghMV1LfGPQ2mDAOIf4eU_f26sEqe8aPV4BYBPzFWYbdAG3P5BUJ33Tt0gtAlIGpDuEq2ktaGLv0YPc5WtOMltBXHDAOX3gLMufkxTq3RS4WVSVOe7qIrS6Yp0HJX-xe-RjW/s1600-h/stuff+007.JPG"><span style="color:#cc0000;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5140329911459915186" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBejyBTTDeJghMV1LfGPQ2mDAOIf4eU_f26sEqe8aPV4BYBPzFWYbdAG3P5BUJ33Tt0gtAlIGpDuEq2ktaGLv0YPc5WtOMltBXHDAOX3gLMufkxTq3RS4WVSVOe7qIrS6Yp0HJX-xe-RjW/s320/stuff+007.JPG" border="0" /></span></a></div><br /><div><span style="color:#cc0000;"></span> </div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;">So you can kinda see the purpleish glow emitted by these lights, but unless you see them in person, you really can't comprehend the true painful expierience. Let me just tell you, next year, if Carolyn and I still aren't roomates...she gets to keep the lights :)</span></div></div>Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-11843223951035684732007-11-20T19:16:00.000-08:002007-11-20T19:44:04.785-08:00I've been Tagged...<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Ok</span>, so apparently Jessica has seen me through her Romper Room Mirror and I now have to list 7 random things about myself. Who even knew you could tag people via blog? Oh well, it's a fun task so I'll participate. Here's my 7 Random things.<br /><br /><br />1. I'm addicted/obsessed with Lip Gloss. I know, no surprise there, but off the top of my head I can count 25 different tubes/pots/sticks of the stuff and tell you where they are, and those are just the ones that I know about. If a new type comes out, I have to buy it. Some people drink, others smoke, but I just apply my lip gloss. I've discovered that since I've moved out and my sister can't steal them, they accumulate very quickly. Honestly, perhaps I should seek some type of therapy for this.<br /><br />2. I have a huge crush on Tony <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">DiNozzo</span> (Michael <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Weatherly</span>) on <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">NCIS</span>. I'm fully cognizant of the fact that he's a fictional character but I can't help it. He's smart, funny, charming and good looking. What more could you want? (As a side note, I also really like Bob Brown (Scott Foley) on the Unit)<br /><br />3. I LOVE office supplies. Doing up the Staples order at work makes me really happy. New pens, paper, pads and post it's just brighten up my day. When the Staples order comes in it's like an early Christmas!<br /><br />4. I read at least 3 books a week. Does this make me a nerd, <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">absolutely</span>! Could I stop if I wanted to? Probably not. I can't help it. It's like some type of compulsion. Perhaps a therapist would tell me I'm trying to escape reality and by placing myself in a fictional environment it makes me happy and secure, but whatever I just love it. (Anyone have any good suggestions for books to read, cause I could use some!)<br /><br />5. Sometimes I read the dictionary. Again, this is showing you just how much of a dork I really am, but it's super interesting. If I really want to spruce it up I read the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">Bible</span> Dictionary. You would not believe the stuff you learn reading the dictionary. I'm thinking I need to invest in some good Encyclopedia's next.<br /><br />6. I love the scent of Vanilla. I'm currently sporting Vanilla Shampoo/conditioner, body lotion, bubble bath, soap, and laundry detergent/fabric <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">softener</span>. I even have a couple of Vanilla scented candles I like to burn every now and then.<br /><br />7. I like to listen to Christmas Carols super early. Drives my <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">roommate</span> nuts!!! I started playing them on November 1st. They just make me all warm and fuzzy and I love that!<br /><br />Hopefully this was enlightening for you :) It was certainly fun to write them all down. Kind of liberating actually. So I guess <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">now</span> it's time for me to get out my Roomer Room mirror and see who I can see..."Romper, <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9">bomper</span>, <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10">stomper</span> boo. Tell me, tell me, tell me, do. Magic mirror, tell me today. Have all my friends had fun at play?" I see Kristine and Kellie and Kristi...well ladies consider yourself Tagged. Sorry if you've already been tagged, but I'm pretty sure you only have to participate once. Have fun!!!Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-17427289970787433722007-11-18T19:40:00.000-08:002007-11-18T20:24:13.858-08:00It's official, I'm Not a Terrorist!!!<span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">All right</span>, so I have no pictures for this particular blog, but I do have a fun story, which is totally better right! I like to think so! So for all of you who are reading this you can use your imagination which is WAY better then any camera I could have had with me!<br /><br /> As I'm sure you're all aware, now is a PRIME time if you plan on doing any shopping down in the Good <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Ol</span>' USA since our dollar is so strong. Thus I decided that I certainly would want to take part in that great tradition of cross border shopping. Little did I know of the Adventure that would await me.<br /><br /> <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Ok</span> so here in Ontario depending on what day you go and what border you cross at it can take anywhere from 30min-a couple of hours to cross the border. Well on Friday Holly and I decided that we were going to go shopping and so we drove to the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Sarnia</span>/Port Huron Crossing (It's about an hour away from where we live in London) after she had finished class for the day and it was around 3:30<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">ish</span> when we reached <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">Sarnia</span>. It only took us about 45min to get to the border guy (which really isn't so bad) but here's where the story starts to get fun.<br /><br />Border Guy: Your <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">Citizenship</span><br /><br />Us: Canadian<br /><br />Border Guy: The Nature of your visit?<br /><br />Us: Shopping<br /><br />Border Guy: Do you have any produce, Meats, <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">yada</span>, <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">yadda</span>, <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9">yadda</span>?<br /><br />Us: No<br /><br />Border Guy: Do you ladies come across the border very often?<br /><br />Us: Not Really.<br /><br />Border Guy: Have you ever been randomly selected to participate in a search?<br /><br />Us: Uh, No.<br /><br />Border Guy: Well today's your lucky day cause the computer's randomly selected you to be searched today. (or something along those lines)<br /><br />Me: Well at least this will be an interesting shopping trip.<br /><br />Border Guy: (Kinda Chuckles) Well Ladies please pull over to the left and someone will direct you on what to do.<br /><br /><br /> So we pull over to the left, they tell me to park my car (I was driving a rental) and they tell us that we have to go into a building and to please take our wallets, but no cell phone's allowed. So we get out of the car and head towards the customs office (I think it's customs...It's got all sorts of Home Land Security posters though, and I think they're a division of the FBI), and the nice guy who told me where to park took my keys and <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10">proceeds</span> to start searching my car. Holly and I go into the building where there's a GIANT line and start our wait. Well we wait, and we wait, and we wait...and two hours later we finally get to the front of the line. Now let me say this about the Homeland Security People, they were pretty nice to Holly and I, however we were pulled over randomly, but to everyone else, they are MEAN! You do not want to mess with these people. They are rude and scary and they wear Guns! They have holes built into <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_11">their</span> jackets so that you can see these guns. Seriously, if you are doing something wrong at the border you should re-think that because they are not messing around. (Nor would I want them too really...they're just defending their country). You need permission to go to the bathroom and they practically frisk you before you go in! Once you're in the building you can't make any phone calls and you can't leave until you're cleared to go. No joke....it's almost like being <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_12">incarcerated</span> for a short period of time :) It's some seriously good times.<br /><br /> Anyway so like I said it took roughly 2 hours for us to get to the start of the line, where we get <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_13">quizzed</span> on where we were going (The mall up the road...no joke, it's about 7min from the border), why we were going, how much money we had on us, why we were driving a rental, our citizenship and where we were from. There's was <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_14">allot</span> more to it then that, but at this point I'm condensing things :) He then went out and re-searched my car (which took him 20min) and then came back and told us we were free to go. So we left the building to the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_15">applause</span> of all the new friends we had made in line. (I'm actually not kidding about that. They clapped when we left. We were the only ones in line who hadn't been pulled over for some actual reason.) We then continued on our Merry way to the mall because at that point we only had a few good shopping hours left.<br /><br /> On a side note, here's my favorite two reasons I overheard people talking to the customs officers about why they got pulled over. These are actually REALLY funny if you hear the full story, but they're still pretty good in short version. So...reasons to be pulled over at the Border.<br /><br />1. A Man was stopped because his license plate had come up as stolen. He had reported his car stolen two weeks ago and then thought it was a good idea to drive it across the border without letting anyone know he had it back. (Yes, it really was his car.)<br /><br />2. 3 guys probably around my age told the border people they were going to visit their friend in <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_16">Buffalo</span>. (Big Red Flag as there's a border crossing in Buffalo and it's in the state of New York...we were at the crossing in Michigan...it doesn't matter where you are in Ontario, it is NOT faster to go to Michigan and then drive under the lakes to get to Buffalo. It probably adds about 3 hours to a trip you could have avoided by just driving to Buffalo.) Turns out they were going to a Cock fight and had a Rooster in the back of their car. <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_17">That's</span> right, they tried to get a rooster across the border.<br /><br /> Anyway all in all it was a pretty fun trip. It makes for a good story at the very least. I REALLY wish I could have taken pictures, but I'm pretty sure Homeland Security probably wouldn't have liked that so much. Needless to say, I'm sure glad to be Canadian. (Side note, I love that you can't bring produce and Meats into the US, and that they don't care about anything else, but in Canada they ask about <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_18">tobacco</span>, alcohol and Firearms. Good to know where the priorities lie!)Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-43693910815778167012007-11-15T20:18:00.000-08:002007-11-15T20:32:31.054-08:00Sink Holes and Other News<div><br /><br /><div>Ok, so you know how I mentioned on Halloween that the city had had a water break and that there was a giant sinkhole accross from work??? Yeah, well here's a picture of it!</div><br /><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5133288337920920658" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4FGEmiIFz8THzVXSPE0ddIPxBxPBKF5Tm-HoAYcOjpMq6O5xB-gvOLRdvtdsxrKUa3Cxl0Rs0wiH3eSTMsm3UU5zNhiIo0o-Kjztmo-UmT8_kT3mu-qP0ag-DkqqO-4CHLHPDOFyRKVwm/s320/sinkhole4.jpg" border="0" /></div></div><br /><p>Granted this is an Aeriel view, and well, you kinda get to see the awesomeness of it. This is a pretty old picture though (a few days) and for some unknown reason they currently have a giant tent pitched in the Middle of it. (You know the ones that look like Circus tents but are too small...yeah, one of those) We're not entirely sure whats going on out there, but apparently this street is going to be off limits for the next couple of months. How crazy is that??? You just close one of the main intersections just cause there's a giant hole in it. Also as a side note, I didn't take any pictures yet, but they felt the need to make two more giant holes down the road, so there's a grand total of 3 giant holes on Wellington Street. What is the city coming too? </p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJJBCyzUmW_tugT0xUrS5yz6_wwMEkJhWk5ZokmkxJ2TgyFQPt06vWPS9gYzZvz8GGnCrHtXTCOWf0EeiOV1prHlGv0dJgFThYgA2R6oafakUxVZUrRnwdcBmgRW8BEN1br1UIyV93iw4q/s1600-h/sinkhole3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5133289708015488098" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJJBCyzUmW_tugT0xUrS5yz6_wwMEkJhWk5ZokmkxJ2TgyFQPt06vWPS9gYzZvz8GGnCrHtXTCOWf0EeiOV1prHlGv0dJgFThYgA2R6oafakUxVZUrRnwdcBmgRW8BEN1br1UIyV93iw4q/s320/sinkhole3.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><p>Who knew one little water break could cause so much damage??? Not enough to get me out of work though...only the rest of downtown ever gets that privilege :)</p><p> </p><p>In Other news I'm heading to Port Huron Michigan tomorrow to get some Christmas shopping done. I'm pretty excited about that. There's just something fun about driving to another country just to go shopping. Even if it's only an hour away. I'm super excited to go visit all those fun stores that just haven't made it across the border yet! (Bath and Body Works anyone???)It'll be some good times...even if it isn't in the Maritimes. Anyway I'm going to head off to bed, big day tomorrow and all!</p>Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074291349999004269.post-65369294036172540442007-10-31T18:09:00.000-07:002007-10-31T18:48:08.679-07:00Happy Halloween!!!<div><br /><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#ff6600;">Happy Halloween Everyone!</span></div><br /><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#ff6600;"></span></div><br /><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#ff6600;">So the past few days at work have been absolutely insane as I'm on this Incentive Committee at work and we've been running what we call the 3 days of Halloween. So all I've done is run around like a chicken with it's head cut off making sure that the games all went well (they did), that we had all the prizes (One of them was stolen out of my boss's office) and that generally things were going ok. Now that it's all over, all I want to do is collapse! (Part of that however could be do to the copious amounts of candy I've consumed all day) However it's only 8:30ish and thus, too early to callapse just yet!</span></div><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5Tc03qm-BlIgjiY1RkUQEx_tv0Af9CQ8OF0Yc8qjc7uWIFMTWUANlgbvFRcA8nF7GT4ygdKT_1Xk8KUIV-0zUv4Ye20s7pl378VJPAxk68h_WcgFtIny2xrPmZ3TmOW4Z2zSa9JVTkr54/s1600-h/Halloween+011.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5127675787191802450" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5Tc03qm-BlIgjiY1RkUQEx_tv0Af9CQ8OF0Yc8qjc7uWIFMTWUANlgbvFRcA8nF7GT4ygdKT_1Xk8KUIV-0zUv4Ye20s7pl378VJPAxk68h_WcgFtIny2xrPmZ3TmOW4Z2zSa9JVTkr54/s200/Halloween+011.JPG" border="0" /></a></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#000000;">Ok so remember my supervisor Jim? You know the one who doesn't mind when we call him names? Well here he is, all dressed up like BamBam. I have to admit I just about peed my pants when I walked in to work and I saw that Jim had on a shorter skirt then I did. He took it all in stride though...he only hit me with the club a couple of times :)</span></div><br /><br /><div></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRdPMwQk4ivh6HUUD3pgWQuqXDHILg8dFUrc4nETWaIAcu5weiGFxtXzr_-sdzrcM7IDuyCx5q6Xwlofa0SqP1ei8077vseoWU8NYS-UXGDGeLwS558-1QzlACeKNF1PkbIIqSbg2L1iFG/s1600-h/Halloween+012.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5127677015552449122" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRdPMwQk4ivh6HUUD3pgWQuqXDHILg8dFUrc4nETWaIAcu5weiGFxtXzr_-sdzrcM7IDuyCx5q6Xwlofa0SqP1ei8077vseoWU8NYS-UXGDGeLwS558-1QzlACeKNF1PkbIIqSbg2L1iFG/s200/Halloween+012.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#ff6600;">Here's a picture of my "crew" at work :) You know, the people I spend most of my time with and have even been known to socialize with outside of the dreaded office Building. Unfortunatly Annick is hiding Martin who dressed up like a fisherman...he did a really good job too. He had on those really cool pants that are waterproof. I was impressed.</span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#ff6600;"></span></div><br /><div><span style="color:#000000;">Other then today being Halloween the only other exciting news we had today was a giant waterbreak in downtown London. There was a giant sink hole accross the street from work and they had to close off all the streets. Just about everyone got off work today. Not Citi though...the building pretty much would have had to sink into the giant hole for us to get the day off work. Which I guess could be good or bad depending on how you want to look at it!</span></div><br /><div></div><br /><div></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi06SQpOmfCIiSkh4awN8TYpUoLY4tyVw7eQjuIo3qIvONR_Utefgb83dpzhkua03vGMmgWffZUlBcHSumkluN7453sL06UwMg83umLAKKSqkTPzTzn8KOMzZRk4nZXVWh0KnETbueVyici/s1600-h/Gangstas.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5127678978352503410" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi06SQpOmfCIiSkh4awN8TYpUoLY4tyVw7eQjuIo3qIvONR_Utefgb83dpzhkua03vGMmgWffZUlBcHSumkluN7453sL06UwMg83umLAKKSqkTPzTzn8KOMzZRk4nZXVWh0KnETbueVyici/s320/Gangstas.jpg" border="0" /></a><span style="color:#ff6600;">In other news, I finally got around to cutting off all my hair. This isn't the best picture I've got but at least you can see the Length. I had 12 inches cut off and I donated it all to Charity. I don't know if you've ever cut off 12 inches of your hair before, but can I just tell you about the amount of extra shampoo I used that first morning??? Someday I'll post a better picture of my new hair cut but I just think this one is funny. Carlos (in the middle) is wearing a wig just in case you were wondering...cause I would have been...it's some pretty frightening hair!</span><br /><div><span style="color:#000000;"></span></div><div></div><div><span style="color:#000000;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#000000;"></span></div><div><span style="color:#000000;">Well, I'm thinking it's time to go collapse now...I'm wicked tired and sadly today is not a friday. I hope you've all had an awesome Halloween and that you don't feel as sick as I do because you ate WAY too many of those little Chocolate bars. Ugh, just thinking about them makes me ill!</span></div></div>Kristianehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03491974236168625165noreply@blogger.com4
